Insurance AI automation for the reading your best people do.
Policies, contracts and carrier manuals, read and cited.
The work that wears out a senior account manager is reading: long commercial policies, competing quotes, construction contracts and carrier underwriting guides. We build AI that reads those documents, quotes the language that matters and sets out its findings for a licensed agent to decide on.

The hardest reading lands on your most experienced people
Policy comparison by whoever has time
Comparing a renewal against a competing quote means reading forms, endorsements, sub-limits and exclusions side by side. It usually falls to the most senior person in the office, who has the least time.
Gaps found at claim time
A missing umbrella, contents written at actual cash value, or a contractor without the additional insured endorsement their contract requires often surfaces only when a claim comes in. Reviewing every account for those gaps is work nobody has the hours for.
Answers that live in one person's head
Carrier appetite, underwriting guidelines and agency procedures sit in PDFs and in the memory of a few long-tenured staff. Newer CSRs ask around or guess.
What we build for insurance agencies
Each of these is a real engagement shape. Open one to see how it works, what it needs from you, and where a person stays in the loop.
Any figures are targets we scope towards, not guarantees. What you actually get depends on your volume, your systems, and how much stays under human review.
Policy and quote comparison
A side-by-side comparison of an expiring policy and new quotes means reading every form and endorsement in each one.
Policy and quote comparison
A side-by-side comparison of an expiring policy and new quotes means reading every form and endorsement in each one.AI reads each policy and quote, lines up limits, deductibles, forms, endorsements and exclusions, and lists the differences in plain language with the policy wording quoted. The agent reviews the comparison and decides what to present to the client.
How it works
- 01Upload or pull the expiring policy and the quotes being compared
- 02Extract coverages, limits, deductibles, forms and endorsements from each
- 03Line them up and flag the differences that change what is covered
- 04Quote the policy language behind each flagged difference
- 05Produce a comparison the agent edits before it goes to the client
Where a person stays in the loop
The AI prepares the comparison. A licensed agent reviews it and makes the recommendation.
- Every flagged difference links to the page it came from
- Ambiguous wording is marked for the agent to confirm instead of interpreted
- The agent approves the client-facing version
What it needs from you
- Policies and quotes as PDFs from carriers or your AMS
- Your preferred comparison layout, if you have one
- The lines of business in scope
Typical build: 2 to 3 weeks·Aim: Differences quoted from the policy
Talk through this oneCoverage gap and cross-sell review
Reviewing a whole account, or a whole book, for missing coverage is useful work that rarely happens outside renewal.
Coverage gap and cross-sell review
Reviewing a whole account, or a whole book, for missing coverage is useful work that rarely happens outside renewal.AI reads each account's policies and flags exposures that look uncovered or underinsured, such as no umbrella on an account with significant liability exposure, UM/UIM below the liability limits, or contents at actual cash value. It ranks findings by risk to the client and drafts outreach for the agent to edit.
How it works
- 01Read the policies on each account in scope
- 02Compare the coverage in place with the exposures the documents show
- 03Flag gaps and low limits with the policy language quoted
- 04Rank the findings by risk to the client
- 05Draft outreach for the agent to review and send
Where a person stays in the loop
Gap findings are suggestions for a licensed agent. The client conversation and any recommendation stay with the agent.
- An agent reviews every finding before contacting a client
- Drafted emails are never sent automatically
What it needs from you
- Policy documents for the accounts in scope
- Your agency's coverage review standards or checklist
Typical build: 3 to 4 weeks·Aim: Cross-sell based on client exposure
Talk through this oneContract insurance-requirement checks
Commercial clients sign contracts that require specific limits, additional insured status, waivers of subrogation and primary and noncontributory wording, and someone has to confirm the program meets them.
Contract insurance-requirement checks
Commercial clients sign contracts that require specific limits, additional insured status, waivers of subrogation and primary and noncontributory wording, and someone has to confirm the program meets them.AI extracts each insurance requirement from the contract and checks it against the client's policies and endorsements, giving each requirement a status with the contract and policy language quoted side by side. The account manager resolves open items before the client signs.
How it works
- 01Upload the contract and the client's current policies and endorsements
- 02Extract every insurance requirement in the contract
- 03Match each requirement to the policy language that meets it, or show that nothing does
- 04Give each requirement a status, with both sources quoted
- 05Give the account manager a list of items to resolve with the carrier or the client
Where a person stays in the loop
The AI shows what the contract asks for and what the policy says. The account manager decides what to tell the client.
- Requirements the AI cannot resolve are marked for confirmation
- The account manager reviews every check before it is shared
What it needs from you
- Contracts and subcontracts as PDFs or Word files
- The client's current policies and endorsement schedules
Typical build: 3 to 4 weeks·Aim: Each requirement cited to contract and policy

Answers from your carrier manuals and procedures
Staff look up carrier appetite, underwriting rules and agency procedures by asking a colleague or searching through PDFs.An assistant answers staff questions from your own carrier underwriting manuals, coverage guides and procedure documents, citing the document and section each answer came from. If the documents do not answer the question, it says so.
How it works
- 01Collect the carrier manuals, appetite guides and procedures you want covered
- 02Index them in storage inside your agency's own account
- 03Staff ask questions in plain language
- 04The assistant answers only from those documents and cites the source
- 05Questions it cannot answer are logged so you can see what is missing
What it needs from you
- Carrier manuals and guides you are permitted to use internally
- Your written procedures
- Someone to keep the document set current
Typical build: 2 to 3 weeks·Aim: Answers cited to your own documents

We work in your cloud, using your tools, under least-privilege access. We never train models on your data, and you keep the source code.
Cited findings
Every finding quotes the source language so an agent can check it against the page.
No training on your data
Policies, contracts and manuals are never used to train AI models.
Encrypted and access-limited
Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and only the people and workflows that need them can reach them.

Systems and documents we build around
- Carrier policy and quote PDFs
- ACORD forms
- Carrier underwriting manuals
- Applied Epic
- AMS360
- HawkSoft
- EZLynx
- SharePoint and OneDrive
- Google Drive
These are systems and document sources agencies commonly ask about, not a list of existing integrations. Most of this work starts from the PDFs you already have. Where we connect to an AMS or document store, it is through an API or a reliable export, confirmed during scoping.
Questions we get
What is AI automation for insurance agencies?
Insurance AI automation is software that does the reading and judgement-heavy work at an agency: comparing policies and quotes, reviewing accounts for coverage gaps, checking contracts for insurance requirements, and answering questions from carrier manuals. Workflow automation moves information between systems; AI automation reads and assesses documents. The AI prepares findings with the source language quoted, and a licensed agent decides what to tell the client.
Which insurance tasks can AI automate beyond basic workflow steps?
Tasks that require reading and comparing documents: policy and quote comparison, endorsement and exclusion review, coverage gap and cross-sell identification across an account or a book, contract insurance-requirement checks, claim denial review against the policy, and questions over carrier underwriting manuals. Until recently these needed an experienced person's full attention from the first page. Now the AI does the first read, and the person checks it and decides.
Does AI automation integrate with my agency management system?
It can, though much of this work does not need it. Policy comparison, gap review and contract checks run on the PDFs your agency already pulls from carriers or the AMS. Where a direct connection helps, for example to pull documents for a whole book, we connect where your AMS offers an API or a reliable export, and confirm API access, plan tier and partner requirements during scoping. ProducerHQ works from uploaded documents, so there is nothing to integrate to start.
How much does AI automation cost for an insurance agency?
There are two routes. ProducerHQ pricing is scoped per agency on a demo call, around seat count and monthly volume, and there is a free trial. A custom build starts with our free AI audit, which ends with a scoped estimate. Builds are fixed-price against that scope, with a flat monthly fee for hosting, monitoring, model and API costs. Cost moves with the document types and lines of business in scope and your volume. Our pricing page has the detail.
Can AI automate policy comparison, cross-sell, and renewal reviews?
Yes, with a licensed agent reviewing the output. AI can compare an expiring policy against the renewal and competing quotes, flag changes in forms, limits and exclusions, and review the account for cross-sell gaps such as a missing umbrella or low UM/UIM limits. Each finding quotes the policy language, and the agent decides what to recommend. ProducerHQ does this as a product, and we build it custom when an agency's process calls for it.
What's the ROI of AI automation for an insurance agency?
Return comes from senior staff time spent reading, from gaps found before a claim instead of after, and from cross-sell opportunities that would otherwise go unreviewed. Each analysis is also documented for your E&O file. How much depends on your book size, your lines of business and how much review happens today. The free audit looks at your current process first, so any estimate uses your agency's numbers.
How long does implementation take?
A custom build usually goes live in two to three weeks from a defined scope. Work across many document types or lines of business takes longer, which is why we scope before we quote. We start with one task, such as comparison or contract checks, and test it on your own policies before adding more. ProducerHQ needs no build, and there is a free trial.
Will AI automation replace producers or CSRs?
No. The AI does the first read of long documents, and licensed agents make the recommendations and have the client conversations. It does not make coverage determinations either; the carrier does. What changes is that your experienced people spend their time on the judgement instead of hunting for the page it depends on.
Is AI automation secure and compliant for insurance data?
It is built to keep policy and client data contained. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and stored in your agency's account where possible, access is limited to the people and workflows that need it, and every analysis is logged. We never train models on your data, and you keep the source code of a custom build. Obligations under state insurance data security rules and privacy law stay with your agency, so we document our controls for your compliance owner to sign off.
